whose work is copyright free, at least in the US. Check out pdmusic.org
if you're in need of some free song lyrics with a bluesy edge.
If you're specifically after HipHop lyrics
this site is probably a good starting point, listing 'the best
rap battle hip hop lyrics available at the internet'.

11 Great Free VST Plugins
The
vast amount of freeware plugins nowadays is a great luxury but it
may sometimes be hard to find the tools that do the job best. A
plugin folder bulking with hundreds of free plugins can sound great
to some but my personal experiences show this is more of a burden
than a help in effective music production. That’s why in this
article I’d like to highlight a couple of free plugins that
are absolutely worth downloading and probably perform as well as
many shareware counterparts...page

The people from Gearaudition have a unique approach on reviewing
studio gear. They rendered the output of several hardware and software
effects in identical settings to audio files. These can be auditioned
on the website. This way everyone can make up their own mind on
which device sounds best. At the moment comparisons of top equalisers,
compressors and preamps can be made. Visit this site at: Gearaudition

Mixdown Balancing..

Making a good sounding mix is not just about getting the levels
right. If only it would be that simple. You might sometimes find
yourself not being able to point out the problem in a mix while
not knowing exactly how to get the sound right. In that case it
helps to analyse your mix on these five dimensions: Stereo spread,
Dynamics, Distance, Frequency and Volume.

MPD24 USB Controller

An impressive new device on the market is this controller from
Akai. The mpd24. This baby looks like it can take the occasional
beating for which it's made, unlike some of the other controllers
found in the market. The MPC's are impressive machines and still
quite popular considering their fairly high second-hand prices.
The pads on the MPC's obviously are a reason for that. Looking for
killer beats and melodies on a masterkeyboard just isn't the same.
Some of the spec's: Velocity, Aftertouch, 6 sliders, 8 endless rotary
knobs, a tasty looking LCD display and 4 banks which gives you 64
pads. It's USB powered and a sample cd of all the Akai drummachines
comes with the package. The mpd24 is getting good reviews from what
I've seen. You might one to
